Olu Of Agbegise Celebrates Christians And Muslims Faithful On Ramadan And Lent Season

His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Joseph Adesina Ikudaisi Olu of Agbegise kingdom has sent his heartfelt greetings to all muslims and christains in his community home and in diaspora as the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent commences.

Oba Ikudaisi stated this in a press statement signed by Olawale Olayinka special adviser on media and publicity, he said that,"Holy periods remind everyone of the timeless virtues of faith, sacrifice, self-discipline, love, and compassion- values that society needs now more than ever,".

He said, ramadan calls our muslims brothers and sisters to fasting, prayer, and renewed devotion to Allah, while lent invites our christians brethen into reflection, repentance, and  deeper commitment to God."

"Ramadan and Lent observed differently but noted that both seasons share a common message: to cleanse the heart, uplift the spirit, and strengthen our duty to humanity," he added.

Olu of Agbegise stressed that Ramadan and Lent came at a time when many  families were feeling economic pressures,  insecurity, and uncertainty.

   He urged every household to allow the lessons of Ramadan and Lent to guide their conduct.

He called for more tolerance, a more charitable act, and more united. He advised well-to-do individuals to remember the less privileged, the widows, the orphans, and the struggling families in communities. He reiterated that no society grows when its people are divided.

"No community prospers when it's people lose hope.  Agbegise, Oke Pata has always been blessed with resilient, hardworking, and peace-loving people. It is this strength of characters and unity of purpose that must continue to define us"
