Abeokuta North Council Boss Gone AWOL?

Where is Adebayo Ayorinde, the Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government?

This is the question presently agitating the minds of several visitors to the Secretariat  of Abeokuta North Local Government and close observers of the council especially those who have one or two things to accomplish at the council in the past recent weeks.

Our several probes into the whereabout of the chairman though unearthed nothing substantial as nobody was ready to talk or were deliberately maintaining sealed lips.

However, information gathered by our correspondent from a source close to the council ascertained that the chairman was last seen in the office during the celebration of his 100 days in office which was marked recently.

The council chairman's absence is now becoming very noticeable as he is beginning to be missed at several important civil and political functions.

One of such functions was his very conspicuous absence at his party, the All Progressives Congress'(APC) recent inauguration of its executives.

His absence at this all important party tryst was sorely felt by all as he was the only local council head of government that was not physically present on the day.

But that was not all as Adebayo Ayorinde was not also at the APC's recent opening of its Secretariat at Longman Building, opposite Ori Omi, Ita Iyalode, Abeokuta on November 3rd 2021.

Neither was Adebayo Ayorinde present at his local government's APC's Congress held in September, 2021.

His absence is now causing not a little agitations and probably palpable panic as it is now the fodder of several societal gossips and food for their grapevines as no official reasons for his absence is coming from any quarter.

Our source reliably confirmed that the agitation is even heightening daily at Abeokuta North Local Government Secretariat as several governmental assignments are now left inconclusive without his imprimatur.

All efforts by our correspondent to dig deeper into the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the local government council boss or to get official response from the Abeokuta North Local Government Secretariat or from the APC's Secretariat was abortive as nobody was willing to give any clue on his whereabout.
