In alignment with the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Law, the Ewekoro Local Government hereby notifies the general public that all forms of illegal vehicular activities within its jurisdiction will no longer be tolerated.
Over the past months, the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway under Ewekoro Local Government has witnessed numerous tragic accidents resulting in avoidable loss of lives. These incidents have been attributed to unlawful practices such as illegal parking, one-way driving, unauthorised U-turns, overspeeding, and other traffic violations.
In commendation of the ongoing road reconstruction and culvert rebuilding efforts by His Excellency, Governor Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON, along the Abeokuta-Sango Expressway, the Ewekoro Local Government reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the lives and well-being of residents and commuters.
To ensure compliance with traffic regulations, the Local Government, in collaboration with the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), will enforce strict penalties against any vehicle found in violation of the Ogun State Traffic Law. TRACE officials will be deployed along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway within Ewekoro Local Government with immediate effect.
We urge all motorists and road users to adhere to traffic rules and extend full cooperation to enforcement officers for a safer and more orderly road environment.
Your compliance is essential for the collective safety and progress of our community.
