His Royal Majesty, Oba Suffianu Adisa Jolaosho (Ilufemiloye I), the Olu of Wasinmi in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, has expressed profound gratitude to God, his council of chiefs, and the people of Wasinmi for their prayers, dedication, and support during his medical absence.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Olayinka Kolawole, Special Assistant on Media to the Olu of Wasinmi.
Oba Jolaosho, describing the period of his absence as one filled with trials and challenges, he expressed joy and appreciation to God for his recovery and safe return to the community. He noted that the experience had strengthened his faith and deepened his appreciation for the power of prayer, unity, and communal support.
While thanking God for restoring his health, the monarch declared that all glory belonged to the Almighty for perfecting his healing and enabling him to resume his royal duties hale and hearty. He described his recovery as a special blessing and a testimony to God's faithfulness throughout the difficult period.
Oba Jolaosho specifically commended the Wasinmi Council of Chiefs, led by Chief Lawrence Ilori, the Balogun of Wasinmi, whom he described as a dependable pillar of support for providing leadership and maintaining stability in the community during his absence.
He also singled out Chief Sunday Toriola, whom he described as his right-hand chief, and Chief Ojelade Olawale Jimoh, the Olori Odo of Wasinmi, for their commitment and dedication to the traditional institution. The monarch praised both chiefs and other members of the council for demonstrating courage, responsibility, and fairness in sustaining the leadership of Wasinmi without fear or favour.
Oba Jolaosho further expressed satisfaction that his absence did not result in any major disagreements or rancour within Wasinmi and its neighbouring communities. According to him, the peaceful atmosphere maintained during that period reflected the maturity, cooperation, and commitment of the chiefs and residents to the continued progress of the community.
The traditional ruler extended his appreciation to individuals, families, and groups who stood by him and the palace through prayers, encouragement, and other forms of support while he was away receiving medical attention. He acknowledged their confidence in his leadership and urged them not to relent in supporting him and the council of chiefs through continued prayers and cooperation.
He also called on the people of Wasinmi and its environs to sustain the spirit of unity, peace, and mutual understanding, stressing that collective commitment is essential for community development.
Special recognition was also given to his wife, Olori Eniola Jolaosho, for standing beside him through the trying period, as well as my family members and children: Princess Jolaosho Kafilat, Prince Jolaosho Kolawole, Princess Jolaosho Tawakalitu, and grandchildren including Aishat Jolaosho, offering prayers that the Lord be with them all.
He assured residents of his continued dedication to their welfare and the preservation of the traditional values and institutions of Wasinmi.
Conclusively, Oba Jolaosho offered praise, honour, and adoration to God Almighty, whom he described as the Great I Am, the Lily of the Valley, and the Ancient of Days for restoring his health and enabling him to return to the throne of his fore-father. Expressing joy that he has returned stronger and in better condition than when he left a few months ago, he declared, “Glory be to God for the perfection of my healing.”
