The APC Governorship Candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), on Tuesday held a strategic consultative meeting with leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ewekoro Local Government Area at H3 Events Centre, Abeokuta.
The meeting formed part of his ongoing consultations across the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State aimed at strengthening party unity, reviewing previous electoral performances and developing strategies for success in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing stakeholders, Senator Yayi said the party must learn from its performance in the last election and take deliberate steps to correct identified shortcomings. He stressed that unity, reconciliation and inclusiveness remain critical to the APC’s success, urging leaders to embrace all members and avoid actions capable of weakening the party.
He disclosed that the party would deepen its grassroots strategy by strengthening ward structures and ensuring greater participation of stakeholders at the grassroots level.
The APC governorship candidate also called on members to welcome new entrants into the party and continue ongoing reconciliation efforts, assuring them that every committed member would have a sense of belonging.
Stakeholders commended Senator Yayi for his frank engagement and pledged to return to their respective wards to strengthen party cohesion, resolve outstanding issues and mobilise members ahead of the 2027 elections.
In his closing remarks, Senator Yayi assured party leaders of his readiness to continue engaging stakeholders across Ewekoro Local Government, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge stronger and more united ahead of the next general elections.
