Ogun Distributes 20 Operational Vehicles to Permanent Secretaries to Enhance Effective Service Delivery

The Ogun State Government has distributed operational vehicles to 20 Permanent Secretaries as part of efforts to strengthen policy implementation, improve inter-agency coordination, and enhance service delivery across the state.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the immediate past Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, described mobility as a vital component of effective governance and efficient public administration.

Onasanya explained that government activities require regular engagement and collaboration among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as well as continuous monitoring to ensure the smooth execution of policies and programmes.

He noted that there is a strong link between policy formulation and implementation, stressing that adequate mobility remains essential for achieving government objectives and improving administrative efficiency.

The former Head of Service urged the Permanent Secretaries to remain committed to their responsibilities as key drivers of government operations, emphasizing professionalism, diligence, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, the commitment of top civil servants to the ISEYA developmental agenda of the Abiodun administration would continue to bring positive development to Ogun State and its residents.

Onasanya also charged the beneficiaries to sustain Ogun State’s reputation as one of the leading states in public service excellence by upholding integrity, hard work, and efficient service delivery.

He commended Governor Abiodun for his purposeful leadership and continued investment in equipping the civil service with the necessary tools for optimal performance.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dr. Augustine Oyesanwen of the Ministry of Forestry, Mrs. Funmi Soyoye-Baker of the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Olalekan Taiwo, Accountant-General and Permanent Secretary, Treasury, alongside Engr. Kehinde Akintomiwa of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, expressed appreciation to the governor for the gesture.

They noted that the operational vehicles would boost productivity and enable them to carry out their responsibilities more effectively, while assuring the government of their continued commitment to quality service delivery and successful implementation of government policies.
