The lingering dispute between the incumbent member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Yewa South, Deputy Speaker Hon. Lateefat Bolanle Ajayi and the aspirant supported by Leaders of the APC in Yewa South, Hon. Bayo Orebiyi was today resolved by the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Alayeluwa, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle.
The resolution was conveyed to the Leaders and other stakeholders at a meeting held in Ilaro at the instance of Oba Olugbenle who informed that the incumbent, Ajayi has agreed to concede the ticket to Orebiyi following his intervention and that of other concerned elders within and outside the Local Government Area.
In response to the remarks by Oba Olugbenle, Rt. Hon. Ajayi apologized to the leaders of the party and raised up the hands of Orebiyi, a gesture which drew applause from the gathering.
The party leaders through Honourable Muftau Ajibola, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, Chief Mrs Iyabo Apampa and Engr. Yinka Akintomide, expressed their joy over the amicable settlement of the dispute and prayed for both Hon. Bolanle and Orebiyi.
In his reaction, Orebiyi expressed his gratitude to Hon. Ajayi for her magnanimity and Oba Olugbenle and all the leaders for their successful intervention.
Other APC and Opinion Leaders at the meeting include Hon. Kolawole Lawal; Hon. Chief Fatai Olayode; Hon. Bunmi Dada; Alhaji Ali Ajibode; Capt.rtd Joseph Oke; Chief Tunji Idowu; APC Yewa South Chairman, Hon. Kayode Salako; Professor Tope Popoola; Ajiroba Dapo Oke; Prince Femi Dokunmu ; Hon. Rasheed Odugbemi; Prince Rotimi Olaleye; Olori Adebisi Olaotan and Yewa South Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Sherif Bankole.
Others include Hon. Zachaeus Omoloye; Hon. Samson Salako; Balogun Abiodun Elegbede; Chief Najeem Akinyemi; and the Olori-Odo, Chief Deji Ogunleye, among others.
