The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Works, led by its Chairman, Hon. Adegoke Awoso, yesterday conducted an inspection tour of the ongoing Ojodu–Akute–Lambe–Agbado road project.
The Committee was accompanied by Hon. Fatiu Folawewo Salami, who represents the good people of Ifo II State Constituency, where the inspection took place.
The visit was part of the Committee’s statutory oversight responsibilities, aimed at ensuring that public funds are prudently and transparently utilized for their intended purposes. This was reflective on the Committee’s commitment to upholding high standards by rigorously assessing the quality of work executed on road infrastructure projects across the state by contractors.
The Committee while acknowledging the pace of work and quality delivered commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his commitment and the notable progress recorded in improving road infrastructure across the state. The committee observed that the administration’s sustained investment in the sector has significantly enhanced accessibility and safety for commuters, while also stimulating economic growth within benefiting communities.
Other members of the committee include Hon. (Prince) Tunde Tella, Hon. Sheriff Abiodun Yusuf, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele, Hon. Olawale Yusuf Amosun and others.
