Hon. Soneye Damilola Kayode (SDK) has officially declared his intention to Recontest the position of Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA), from Obafemi Owode Constituency, with his political base firmly rooted in Ofada Ward.
Hon Soneye Damilola Kayode, Member, OGHA representing Obafemi Owode State Constituency And Chairman House Committee on Lands and Housing made the declaration in Ofada ward.
In a well attended gathering held within the ward, Hon. Soneye formally made his declaration before the esteemed Ward leaders, respected elders, and members of the Ward Executive (EXCO). The event marked a significant moment in the political landscape of Ofada Ward, as party faithful and stakeholders converged to witness and lend their support to his aspiration.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Soneye expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering support, trust, and encouragement he has consistently received from the grassroots. He emphasized that his decision to contest is driven by the people of his constituency with genuine desire to continue serving the people, strengthen representation, and advance the developmental interests of Obafemi Owode Constituency.
He further highlighted his commitment to inclusive leadership, people oriented policies, and sustained engagement with constituents. According to him, the journey ahead requires unity, cooperation, and collective resolve among party members and the community at large.
Hon. Soneye assured the leaders and stakeholders present that his ambition is not personal but a reflection of the collective will and aspiration of the people of Ofada Ward and beyond. He called for their continuous guidance, prayers, and support as he embarks on this important political journey.
The Ward leaders, elders, and EXCO members, in their responses, commended Hon. Soneye for his courage, leadership qualities, and track record of service. They reiterated their readiness to work together in ensuring a successful outing in the forthcoming electoral process.
