The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Adesina Adisa, joined the good people of Ogun State in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the creation of Ogun State, describing it as a milestone of resilience, growth, and development.
He highlighted Ogun State’s foundational role in Nigeria’s political, educational, and socio-economic development, noting its contribution to national unity, democracy, and intellectual advancement.
Ewekoro Local Government knows as a major economic pillar of Ogun State, especially through its vast limestone deposits, supporting cement production and other mineral resources critical to industrial growth.
Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa emphasized Ewekoro’s contribution to food security, citing agricultural outputs such as rice, cassava, cocoa, maize, sugarcane, and other produce that support the state’s economy.
He described Ewekoro as the emerging “heartbeat” of Ogun State, contributing significantly to infrastructure development, human capital growth, education, and social advancement.
Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa Commended His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, for his visionary leadership, industrialization drive, and commitment to making Ogun State a safe haven and industrial hub of Nigeria.
Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa acknowledged the vital roles played by traditional rulers, political leaders, security agencies, community and religious leaders, market men and women, youths, transport workers, and civil servants in the continuous development of Ogun State.
He reaffirmed Ewekoro Local Government’s commitment to supporting Ogun State’s development agenda and urged citizens to remain steadfast in building a greater future for the state.
The event concluded with goodwill messages, prayers for continued progress, and a call for unity as Ogun State begins another journey into the next half-century.
