A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Alhaji Iziaq Abass, popularly known as Zacobass, on Tuesday gifted no fewer than 900 residents food items and cash support as part of activities marking the holy month of Ramadan.

Our correspondent reports that the outreach programme, which was organised in honour of Senator, Representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) featured a Ramadan lecture and welfare distribution.

The event, which was held in Ayetoro, the area of the state, had a large turnout of Muslim faithful, market women, youths, community leaders, and party stakeholders across the area.

While speaking at the event, Islamic scholar Sheikh Jamiu Sanusi “Amin Olorun” admonished Muslims to embrace the values of compassion, sacrifice, and unity, saying that Ramadan is a period for reflection and selfless service to humanity.

The Islamic scholar equally commended Senator Adeola for his contributions to community development and consistent support for the less privileged.

Our correspondent also reports that the event also gifted each of the 900 beneficiaries a 5kg bag of rice and a cash gift.

While speaking on the rationale behind the kind gesture, Alhaji Zacobass revealed that the initiative was aimed at supporting the needy and strengthening communal bonds during the holy month.

Hee described Senator Adeola as a leader committed to the welfare of the people and urged residents to continue praying for peace and progress in Ogun State.

In their separate remarks, some beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, offering prayers for both the organiser and Senator Adeola, whom they credited with inspiring people-oriented interventions across the state.
