Ilawo Royal House dissociate self from false publication by one Mutiu Ajibade

...as Ilawo Traditional Council suspend Mutiu Ajibade MacGregor as Borokini

The esteemed MacGregor Family of Ilawo Royal House has issued a forceful public disclaimer, categorically refuting the contents of a recently circulated fictitious publication.

The family asserts that the report, replete with alleged statements, claims, and quotations from "family sources," is entirely unauthorized and does not reflect the true position, values, or intentions of the Ilawo Royal Family.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Najeem Adesina MacGregor, on behalf of the entire MacGregor Family, the Royal House emphasized that "no member of the Ilawo Royal Family, principal or extended, authorised, made, or endorsed any of the comments attributed to 'family sources,' relatives, or unnamed insiders in the said report."

The family further clarified that the narrative presented in the publication did not originate from any collective family decision, briefing, or consensus. They firmly stated that the entirety of the content emanated solely from one individual, Mutiu MacGregor.

"Mutiu MacGregor has long acted independently and contrary to family unity, and who is not recognised as speaking for, representing, or protecting the interests of the Ilawo Royal Family," the statement declared.

The family views his actions as "consistently provocative, disruptive, and hostile to peace, often aimed at creating division, tension, and public controversy where none exists."

The MacGregors of Ilawo Royal Family reiterated their unwavering commitment to peace, dialogue, respect for tradition, and internal dispute resolution. They unequivocally reject "all attempts by any individual to drag the family name, royal institution, or community into unnecessary public conflict."

Accordingly, the Ilawo Royal House has entirely disassociated itself from the publication and urges both the public and media to disregard the report in its entirety.

Also, a dismissal letter obtained by our reporter shows how the Ilawo Traditional Council suspended Mutiu Ajibade MacGregor on January 6, 2026 as the Borokini.

He was alleged of several infractions against the Monarch and the entire Ilawo town.
