By Ifeoluwa Adebayo, Abeokuta

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, has suspended 19 students over examination malpractices while two other students, were given warning letters to desist from such act.

According to a report by the Institution’s Examination Misconduct Panel on the First Semester Examination for the 2022/2023 Academic Session,  four of the suspended students will be suspended for two semesters, while the remaining 15 will be suspended for four semesters.

Reacting to the development,  the institution’s Head of Public Relations, Mr. Yemi Ajibola, stated that, in comparison to earlier reports on exam misconduct, the report showed a sharp decrease in the number of students engaging in exam misconduct.

He noted that the decrease demonstrated the success of the management’s efforts to sensitize students about test malpractice and prepare them for the workforce.

”It shows that in the nearest future, nthere will be no students in MAPOLY involved in such examination malpractices.
