The Rector and Management of Owu College of Management Technology, Wasinmi, have paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Suffian Adisa Jolaosho, the Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi land over Security related matter among others issues that concern the college host community.
Dr. Adekunle Samuel Aderemi was accompanied to the palace of Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi land by registrar of the institution Mr Dapo Kolawole, Deputy Rector Administration Dr Adeniran S A, Mr Olatunbosun, School Bursar Alhaji Amusa, Dean school of Arts & Management Science, Mr Olawale Olayinka, Dean school of science Mr Adedimeji Koleosho and Mr Micheal Adeyeye.
In his address, Dr Samuel Aderemi Adekunle congratulates the monarch over his installation and described him as God chosen one. He prays that God Almighty will grant the monarch the wisdom and understand needed to lead Wasinmi and his environs to enviable heights.
Dr. Adekunle said that the visit was part of the polytechnic’s efforts to build a strong lasting relationship with the Oniwasinmi in council and Wasinmi community as a whole.
He further highlighted some of the major crisis confronting the community and students of Owu College Of Management Technology Wasinmi such as; security, impassable road , and he called for a better town hall and maternity which would invariably enhance the development of the community.
Similarly, he sought for Kabiyesi indulgenceto permit both foreign and local investors to invest in the land.
He concluded that the institution is ready to oblige to any call from him, that has to do with the development of the land and even the palace.
According to His Royal Majesty Oba Suffian Adisa Jolaosho (Arolagbade 1) II Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi land, he announced that he wholeheartedly welcome the Rector and his entourage to his palace.
He Commends him for the rapid development of Wasinmi and environs because higher institution is one the major things that developed Community, while using Ilaro as a case study. When the federal government of Nigeria sited the Federal Polytechnic to Ilaro, within a couple of years, Ilaro Yewa became a mega city and alot of transformation begins to set in.
Owu College Of Management Technology Wasinmi "Owutech" is now a blessing to Wasinmi Community because Wasinmi of today is different from Wasinmi of yesterday.
He also said, his door is open anytime, any day and they should feel free to visit him for advice and consultation when needed.
Chief Sunday Toriola, the Oganla of Wasinmi and the Community representatives in Owutech appreciates Dr Samuel Aderemi Adekunle Rector Owutech and his team for supporting Wasinmi Community in areas of Community development and others while highlights some of the annual programs organized by the institution for the people of Wasimi.
He welcomed the Rector and his team to the palace of Oba Suffian Adisa Jolaosho, saying the new Oniwasinmi is ready to work with the institution in any area that will bring prosperity to the Wasinmi and his environs.
