Nigerian popular hip-hop singer, Abolore Adigun better known as 9ice, has been honoured with a chieftaincy title in Ogun State.
The award-winning music star took to his Instagram page to announce the conferment of his latest chieftaincy title to his fans.
His chieftaincy title is “Amuludun of Ijofin Kingdom” which means the “Chief Entertainer of Ijofin Kingdom”.
9ice thanked the king of the Ijofin Kingdom for honoring him with a chieftaincy title and also pledged to continue supporting Nigeria.
“AARE AMULUDUN IJOFIN KINGDOM IPOKIA YEWA. THANKS TO HRM OBA MORUF AWODE AND THE ENTIRE FAMILY OF GUSANU AND THE PEOPLE OF IJOFIN KINGDOM, YEWA OGUN STATE AND EVERYONE,” he wrote.
9ice is known for his powerful use of the Yoruba language in his music, proverbial lyrics, and unique delivery style.
Years back he was awarded the Best Hip Hop Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2008. Some of his most popular songs include “Little Money,” “Make Dem Talk,” and “Gongo Aso.
This was part of activities celebrating 25th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty Oba Moruf Alani Awode Ololo of Ijofin Kingdom.
His chieftaincy title is “Amuludun of Ijofin Kingdom” which means the “Chief Entertainer of Ijofin Kingdom”.

Rather than staying in the entertainment industry alone, 9ice explored the realm of politics when he ran for the office of House of Representatives and took a political appointment as a Special Adviser to the then-governor of Oyo State, Late Abiola Ajimobi, in 2015.
According to the celebrants His Royal Majesty Oba Moruf Alani Awode, Ololo of Ijofin Kingdom thanked God Almighty for giving him grace to be alive today. 25 years ago when he was installed as a royal father in Ijofin 'I thought is a child play', but God give me wisdom knowledge and understanding to steer the affairs of this grate Community to an enviable height.
Today I can beat my chest and said Ijofin and his environs is far better than I meet 25th years ago.
While appreciated all the past Governor's I have work with, particularly Government of Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Alhaja Salmon Badru led administration for their wonderful performance and contribution to our dear land.
