The founder of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume has advised Journalists to stop hailing political office olders, things will not change to good in Nigeria because if the Nation stand faith of the Nation is in their hands.

Achudume, who delivered sermon at the Thanksgiving Service to herald the 2023 Press Week of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council Tittled "Break Forth" on Sunday at the Church Headquarters, Ajebo Road, Abeokuta, the State capital.

While urging the Nigerian Journalists to be faithful in their Profession, he advised them to stay on their Lane and stop looking for political power.

Achudume also charged the Nigerian politicians to see their position as call to serve and resist from any act of corruption, saying that political position is not meant for wealth accumulation.

He however called on Nigerians to discover themselves because everyone is created by God for a purpose.

He said "Nigerians are highly talented people; so palliative is an insult to Nigerians. 

"Stay in your calling because politics is not your place and stop looking for political power. Ensure you are writing a good and what will help the citizens. Every Journalist must be voice of people and until you stop hailing politicians, things will not change. Every Journalist should promote image of country, project the work of the people that are doing good and downplay all the bad people in our means.

"Leadership is service to man and God and your fulfilment in life is not the money you have accumulated. Don't see your political office as an avenue to create wealth. Nigeria is in Danger due to craziness for money. Do your assignment as God sent you so you can be a free man and peace in life.

"Discover yourself and know what you are born to do in life. If you want to succeed, locate your purpose in life and pursue it. Don't allow distractions if you aim great in life.

In his reaction, the chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Wale Olanrewaju appreciated Pastor Achudume for standing firm behind him and the Union, expressing that when he followed all the his prophecy and advised to the Union, he was able to achieved alot within Ten Months of his tenure.
