Former President Goodluck Jonathan' s Aide, Reno Omokri Explain How Nigeria Will Benefit From Russia And Ukraine War

Reno Omokri, a social and political activist, stated on Friday that the present conflict between Russia and Ukraine would be beneficial to Nigeria and Africa.

Apparently, according to the Daily Post, Omokri believes that Nigeria will reap the benefits of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

He stated that Nigeria would benefit from the increase in the price of oil as a result of the conflict between the two countries.

A series of tweets from a former assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan argued that the current war was not a precursor to the outbreak of World War III.

The war, in Omokri' s opinion, was merely a European conflict as much as a regional conflict.

He wrote; " World War 3 my foot! If you are in a country in Africa, one bullet, missile, or grenade from Russia won' t touch you.

" Nigerians can even start preparing for owambe, because Nigeria will reap a fortune from the rising oil price. Just be entertained by the European quarrel.

" Meanwhile, stop calling what is happening between Russia and Ukraine World War 3. It is not WW3. It is a European war.

" Wake up from your slumber. Europe is NOT the world. Russia and Ukraine aren' t even in the top 10 nations by GDP. Don' t elevate a regional conflict! "

US President, Joe Biden Set To Sanction Russia Government Over Attack On Ukraine

According to the Daily Post, US President Joe Biden has committed to announcing fresh penalties against Russia in response to the action against Ukraine that the international community has been anticipating for weeks but has been unable to avoid via diplomatic means.

The first batch of penalties on Russia was announced by President Joe Biden on Tuesday, following the country' s decision to recognize the independence of some areas of Ukraine' s Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Remember that Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine on Thursday, despite international condemnation and sanctions. President Vladimir Putin chose to ignore international condemnation and sanctions.

Other countries were warned by Putin that any attempt to intervene would result in consequences they have never seen before.

In a written statement, President Joe Biden criticized the unprovoked and unjustified strike and he pledged that the United States and its allies would hold Russia responsible.

" I will be meeting with the leaders of the G7, and the United States and our allies and partners will be imposing severe sanctions on Russia" .

In a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he told him that " We will continue to provide support and assistance to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, "

Following a summit of the Group of Seven leaders on Thursday, the president announced that he will address the American people. More sanctions against Russia were likely to be issued on Thursday, according to expectations.

" Tomorrow (Thursday), I will meet with my G7 counterparts in the morning and then speak to the American people to announce the further consequences the United States and our Allies and partners will impose on Russia for this needless act of aggression against Ukraine and global peace and security.

" We will also coordinate with our NATO Allies to ensure a strong, united response that deters any aggression against the Alliance, " he said.

Russia President, Putin Issue Strong Warning To Other Countries That Might Want To Intervene In The War

According to the Daily Post, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned other countries against intervening with his country' s military activity in Ukraine.

In a televised address on Thursday, Putin announced the launch of a military operation in Ukraine, claiming that it is being carried out to defend people.

He stated that Russia' s military effort in Ukraine is not intended to occupy the country, but rather to bring about the demilitarization of the country.

Putin urged the Ukrainian military to lay down their weapons, warning them that they would be held accountable for any bloodshed that occurred.

" Consequences they have never seen" would result from any attempt by other countries to interfere with Russian actions in Ukraine, Putin warned other countries.

He accused the United States and its allies of turning a blind eye to Russia' s demand that Ukraine is barred from joining NATO and that Moscow is provided with security guarantees.

The attack, according to Putin, was necessary to protect civilians in eastern Ukraine.
