Do you hate Olumide Osoba or his father Segun Osoba, Ogun assembly asked Electorate

By Miracle Okoro, Abeokuta

The Speaker of Ogun State House Of Assembly Rt. Hon. Daisi Olusegun Elemide, representing Odeda State Constituency has asked the electorates in the federal constituency who they hate between Olumide Osoba or his father Segun Osoba

Rt. Hon. Elemide stated this during the cash grant empowerment program held at Ibara GRA Abeokuta. Organized by Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba member of federal house of representative representing Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency Abuja.

Elemide drops the bombshell that Olumide Osoba’s record is untouchable because no one legacy as supercede Olumide Osoba Legacy our federal constituency.

The Speaker categorically "scattered the table" on any notion of replacing Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba with first time lawmaker or less experienced candidates.

Rt. Hon. Elemide plead for unwavering support for the continuation of Osoba's impactful leadership and legacy, emphasizing that the former Governor Olusegun Osoba's enduring political legacy in the constituency must be protected and preserved at all costs.

Elemide boldly challenged critics and opponents, declaring that no one in the history of the Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi-Owode Federal Constituency has performed better than Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba.

While highlighted Osoba's exceptional record of service, noting that in his own Odeda Local Government Area (as a constituent and representative), there is no single ward that Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba has not positively touched through tangible physical projects, infrastructure developments, and direct interventions.

The Speaker extended this praise to the other two local government areas in the constituency Abeokuta North and Obafemi-Owode affirming that Rt. Hon. Osoba has comprehensively impacted every corner with visible and meaningful projects.

The event itself exemplified Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba's commitment to grassroots empowerment and people-centered governance. Under the Renewed Hope initiative, he disbursed ₦50,000 cash grants to 400 beneficiaries carefully selected from all 38 wards across the federal constituency.

Meanwhile the programme specifically targeted youths, women, and other constituents, providing much-needed financial support to alleviate economic hardships, boost livelihoods, and foster self-reliance.

Rt. Hon. Elemide dismissed the arguments of politicians seeking to take over the seat, stressing that the constituency still requires an experienced, senior, and highly effective representative like Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba. Such seasoned leadership, he argued, is essential to attract and facilitate more federal projects, interventions, grants, and developmental opportunities for the people.

"This strong endorsement from the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly underscores the broad political support for Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba's continued representation. It reinforces the call for unity behind proven performers who deliver consistent results, protect cherished legacies, and prioritize the welfare of constituents in Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, and Odeda. The message is clear: experience matters, performance counts, and the Osoba legacy remains worth defending and building upon for the greater good of the federal constituency and Ogun State at large".
