The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) hereby commiserates with our colleague, Kunle Ibikunle of OGTV Chapel, on the passing of his beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Chief (Mrs.) Beatrice Ibikunle.
According to the family, Chief (Mrs.) Ibikunle slept in the Lord on Tuesday, 9th December 2025, at the graceful age of 84.
Her transition marks the departure of a virtuous woman who lived a fulfilled life, leaving behind worthy children and generations to carry on her legacy.
The NUJ Ogun Council deeply sympathises with our colleague and the entire Ibikunle family in this moment of grief.
The loss of a mother is always heavy, no matter her age, but we take solace in the knowledge that Mama lived a long and impactful life.
We urge Mr. Kunle Ibikunle to remain strong and draw comfort from the exemplary life Mama lived, as well as from the love and prayers of friends, colleagues and those who were touched by her kindness and wisdom.
May the soul of Chief (Mrs.) Beatrice Ibikunle find eternal rest, and may God comfort and uphold the family she has left behind.
E - Signed
Comrade Bunmi Adigun
For the Council
