CDHR Inaugurates 5 Units in Ogun, urged members to be committed

The National President of Committee For Defence Of Human Right (CDHR) has Inaugurates five units in Ogun State branch, urged members that are still standing and still committed. 

Dr. Prince Kehinde Tiaga CDHR National President stated this during 2025 annual general conference, with theme: Upholding Human Rights In Turbulent Time : Addressing In Security And Hardship In Nigeria. With Sub Theme: Regulating  Vigilante Group To Prevent Violence Injustice And Jungle Justice In Nigeria: Promotion Die Process And Community Trust. Held at Adesba Hotel, Mercy Road, Panseke Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Tiaga explained that through every storm, he stood firm, not because of pride, but because of principle. Although the matter has gone to court and we await the decision of a competent judiciary, but while the courts will give judgement, history will give its own verdict.

"My conscience is clear and my loyalty to CDHR is unwavering. "I did not come to divide, I came to restore, CDHR belongs to all of us and not to few of us"

While calling for a unity, mediation and reconciliation among all. He said we should put aside our differences and return to what truly matters by defending the right of Nigerians. We should hold our leaders accountable and fighting for a society where justice is not a privilege for few, but a right for all.

Pleading that this conference mark a new begining, fresh chapter of unity, transparency and true activism. The time for healing is now.

While Inaugurates units are: Imaba units of Ijebu East Local Government.
Comrade Adewale Isaac, Ilaro units of Yewa South Local Government. Comrade Adelani Wasiu of Itaoshi units of Abeokuta North Local Government.q0 Comrade Olanrewaju Matthew Adewale of  Babalawo units in Ewekoro Local Government and Adigbe units of Obafemi Owode Local Government.

In his lecture, Barrister Taiwo Hassan Bello, Principal advocate enforcement of human right advocate and counsel strong tower law chamber. While talking on the theme: "Regulating  Vigilante Group To Prevent Violence Injustice And Jungle Justice In Nigeria: Promotion Die Process And Community Trust".

He said what lead to the establishment of Vigilante Group, Amotekun So Save Corps and other security outfit. Is because Nigeria Police Force other security agency has failed the societies and that's what lead to the establishment of the state security agency.

Vigilante groups take laws into there hand, when those that suppose to protect us as failed Nigerians. 

While the Nigeria Police Force and other security agency should not see them rivalry but as a complementary effort and meanwhile they handed the criminals to the police for the judiciary process.

Also, Comrade Sunny Enenvwedia former chairman and members of Board of Trustee (BOT For CDHR) thanked everyone for believing in the People's right and pray that God will see them through.

He urged them to uphold the rules and regulations of Committee For the Defence of Human Right CDHR code of ethics, prioritising public or employer interests above personal interests in their professional endeavours.

He highlighted the  contributions to human capital development, noting that CDHR qualified professionals occupy strategic positions in Nigeria’s public and private sectors.

In a separate section, a motion was moved by comrade Tijani Oladimeji Lagos State branch chairman
and seconded by Oyo state branch chairman that their should not be election of new executives till the matter in court be resolved and other faction should be accommodated.

They said, because of the matter in court we should extend their tenure till further notice and status quo should remain the same. 

Chief Kayode Showinmi state chairman of ACOMORAN promised to partners and do everything within his reach to fight for right of is people's.



In his vote of thanks, the host chairman comrade  Sobola Ajayi Wasiu state chairman for Committee For the Defence of Human Right, Ogun State Branch. Urged the newly inaugurated units chairman to see this appointment as a call to do more and uplift the right of the citizenry, while thanking all the delegates across Nigeria for coming to Ogun State and wish them journey mercy back to there destinations. 

The National Executive members are  Dr Prince Kehinde Tiaga CDHR National President, Comr. James Chibuzo Chikwendu Vice President, Comr. Gerald Katch as national secretary, Comr. Jude Ass. Gen. Sec., Comr. Micheal Roy Olukungboye national treasurer, Comr. Gods power Ugah Publicity secretary, Barr. Ibijoke Fajugba as Legal adviser and Comr. Mrs Ifechigha Queen Chinazor as Internal Auditor.
