Team Ogun has been declared as the overall winner in the just concluded golf competition with 14 medals, at the Gateway Games 2024.
The golf Federation Technical Director, Mr. Jide Bolaji, made this known in Abeokuta during the compilation of the final results of the game, Ogun State with 6 gold medals, 4 Silver and 4 bronze medals, saying that Delta State came with 2nd position with 9 medals, 5 gold and 4 Silver, 3rd position goes to the FCT with 7 medals, 2 gold and 4 silver as well as 1 bronze.
While Bayelsa State with 5 medals take the 4th position with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, 5th position by Plateau State with 6 medals, 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze, 6th position goes to Rivers State with 2 medals, 1 gold, 1 silver, 7th position to Osun State with 2 medals, 1 gold and 1 bronze, also Imo State and Kano State tied same 7th position with 2 medals of 1 gold and 1 bronze.
10th position goes to Edo State with 6 medals of 3 silver and 3 bronze , 11th position by Niger with 2 medals of 1 gold and 1 bronze, Lagos State tied with Jigawa, 12th position with 2 medals, 2 silver and 2 bronze; 14th position to Ekiti and Benue State with 2 medals, 1silver and 1 bronze.
The 16th position to Oyo State, 17th position to Ondo State, 18th position to kwara State, 19th position to Cross River State, 20th position to Borno State, 21st position to Akwa Ibom State, 22nd position to Nasarawa State, 23rd position to Katsina State and 24th position to Adamawa respectively.
A total of 60 medals in the 22nd National Sports Festival tagged Gateway Games 2024 was awarded to the winners States accordingly with the total of, 20 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 20 bronze medals.
