A Coalition of Civil Society Groups have condemned the invasion of the Kogi State Governor’s lodged in Abuja by the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The invasion was reported to have occurred during the midnight of Wednesday September 18 2024 in Abuja. The group called for immediate resignation of the EFCC boss, Ola Olukayode from office.
They said the Former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello was at the EFCC office but was released without any investigation.
The group demanded immediate probe of the invasion into the governor’s lodge by the relevant National Assembly committees supervising the institution of EFCC. They asked Justice Emeka Nwite to withdraw from the case and handover to an objective and unbiased judge whose firmness will be trusted.
