The Executive Chairman Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodinmi Jp, has said that he is following the footsteps of his principal, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun in the local government Administration.
The Council chairman who spoke while commissioning the established Ilupeju – Igbore Market on Thursday said Governor Abiodun has performed excellently in spreading developmental projects across the state.
He commended the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his numerous developmental projects being witnessed across the nooks and crannies of the State.
He said that the creation of an additional Markets in the Local Government will reduce unemployment and also give the people in the area the opportunity to buy food and items which hitherto would have been sold at a far distance.
“I want to commend the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his numerous developmental projects being witnessed across the nooks and crannies of the State, it was his footsteps that I am following.
Hon. Omolaja in the same vein appreciated the personalities involved in the creation of the market and emphasised that it is evidence of the positive zeal towards developing the localities.
He therefore urged everyone to maintain peaceful coexistence and unity among one another, while ensuring adequate cleaning of the market environment at all times, and always contributing their quota towards the development of the market.
The Iyaloja of the Market, Chief (Mrs) Tayo Adebowale Bamidele and Babaloja of the Market, Chief Kamorudeen Omolaja Bamidele eulogised the kind-heartedness of the Hon. Majekodunmi led administration’s swift response to their requests at all time and the establishment of Ilupeju-Igbore Market.
Those present were the Political Appointees, Principal Career Officers, Various Market Leaders within the State and Traditional Leaders from Igbore communities.
