The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced the passing of the super Falcons ex-goalkeeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni.
The Ekiti State-born goalkeeper reportedly passed away after battling cancer for eight years.
The demise of Aluko-Olasenu was announced on X platform, formerly called Twitter by NFF in a statement.
“We are sad to hear of the passing of former @NGSuper_Falcons goal keeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni after an eight-year b+ttle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May her gentle soul rest in peace,” the statement read.
In her lifetime, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni graced the field as an accomplished goalkeeper in so many football clubs:
Former Falconet Goalkeeper, Former Rivers Angel Keeper, Former Ekiti Babes Goalkeeper, Former Sunshine Queens Goalkeeper, Former Olgar Queens Goalkeeper, FCT Babes Alumna, Former Makbet Queens Goalkeeper
Burial arrangements will be announced by the family.
