An uncertain number of Ibadan residents have been injured by multiple explosions which rocked the Oyo state capital on Tuesday evening. Some reports claim some people died in the incident.
Although, cause of the explosion is not yet known, the loud bang was heard in areas like Agbowo-UI, Orogun, Mokola, Apete, Omi Adio, Oke Itunu, Bodija and idi Isin, Isokan, Ekerin, Eleyele among others.
The Oyo state government that confirmed the explosions on its official X handle, said it is still investigating the causes.

The government said: “The Oyo State Government is aware of reports of an explosion in Ibadan. Residents are urged to remain calm as security agencies are investigating this to determine the source and cause of the incident”
