Civil servants in the State have been urged to imbibe the sprit of teamwork which is the critical element of organizational growth and individual proficiency.
The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo gave this admonition during the send forth organized for Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye a retiring Permanent Secretary, Office of the Governor and Mr. Hakeem Animashaun who retired in the Governor's Office registry recently.
The Deputy Chief of Staff while biding the retiring Permanent Secretary farewell after a meritorious service on behalf of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun,he maintained that Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye has been a dependable man who demonstrated exceptional leadership.
"We can not appreciate enough your exemplary dedication to Governor's Office work and it's administration, your vision and guidance have played a vital role in pushing beyond all boundaries, you are indeed a captain". Dr. Taiwo affirmed.
Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo also attributed the success recorded in the Governor's Office administration to the constant support and invaluable insight of Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye.
"Your open door policy symbolizes your willingness to accommodate opinions from your team members regardless their positions. Your humility and accessibility have made a lasting impact on those that have had the privilege of working with you " Dr. Taiwo stated.
The Secretary to the State Government Mr. Tokunbo Talabi described the retiring Permanent Secretary as a thorough professional who had made his impact in the service and wish him a blissful retirement.
The Head of Service Mr. Kolawole Peter Fagbohun in his remarks maintained that civil servants should continue to put in their best in their service to the State and appreciate the Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for providing an enabling environment for workers to discharge their duties seamlessly, noting that to ‘whom much is given, much is expected‘.
In his appreciation, the retiring Permanent Secretary, Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye gave thanks to Almighty God recounting his journey into the State civil service and while it lasted, noting that there have been moment he felt empty.
He also appreciated the Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his legacies in the State, praying for him for an everlasting victory and renewed energy to further take Ogun State to a greater heights.
Mr. Ogunleye recognized the cooperation of the entire Staff in the State civil service particularly those in the Governor's Office for their understanding.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Director, Office of the Chief of Staff Mr. Olumuyiwa Idowu noted that Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye was a great asset to the service particularly in the Governor's Office describing him as a good captain and silent achiever.
