The National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW has has slashed daily ticket in Ondo state to two hundred naira
The driver union also expressed readiness to take over parks in the sunshine state.
NURTW National President, Professor Tajudeen Baruwa who made this known in a statement said the federal government was solely responsible for the printing and distribution of NURTW tickets throughout the federation at the rate of N4000 per booklet while the union added N4000 to make it N8000.
He further explained that after selling the tickets, the union would return the initial four thousand to the federal government through the Central Bank of Nigeria while the additional N4000 would be shared among the national, states and units of the union
Assuring stakeholders especially the state government of its legitimate earnings, Professor Baruwa called on members to work in unison.
