The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa emerged best Local Government chairman in Roads and Rural integration. He won the merit award, out of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria and 20 LGAs in Ogun State based on his outstanding performance over a year in office.
Hon. Adesina disclosed that aside from grading various roads across Ten (10) Ward of Ewekoro LGA. As he promised during his electioneering campaign to felicitate more projects within the local government area. I've surpassed it, and presently on twenty-four roads in the spate of 1 year plus in office, and that other pro-people projects like Renovation of Health Centre, Block of classroom, Student scholarship, shopping complex, borehole water procured to mention but few.
Hon. Adesina promised that education, youth empowerment and Skill training will top the priority of his administration in the year 2023 as well as the construction of more roads.
He won the City Herald Magazine, Icon of Local Government Administration Award, organised in Lagos.
Presenting the award to the council boss, the Chairman of the occasion on the presence of council of Obas, led by HRM Oba Abdul'fatai Akorede Akamo Olu of Itori. Oba Akamo said, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa for his emergence as one of the best performing Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria, the year 2023 on this day Thursday, May 25th, 2023. Isn't accidental or a mix-up. He merit and work tirelessly for the greatest impact to put Ewekoro LGA on map.
Earlier in his welcome address, City Herald Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer, Mentors Communications, congratulated the awardee and enjoined him to continue the good jobs, he also urged him to see the award as a challenge to do more.
He stated “I want you to see this award as a challenge to do more and always endeavour to carry out people’s oriented projects and programmes at your Local Government Areas.”
