The State chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Ogun state council, Comr. Hammed-Benco Ademola has assured his members that he will not lead them astray and urged them to be resolute and prayerful for the success of his tenure.
Ademola gave this assurance on Sunday at the thanksgiving service to kickstart the May-Day activities held at The African Church Directorate of Missions Evangelism Solution Camp , Ori-Oke Iyanu Abeokuta the state capital.
He stressed that, the workers should have trust in him and pledge that his administration will do all his possible best to make life easy for workers and ensure the government answered them.
He added that, labour movement, organized labour and the government of Ogun state will meet and have a significant dialogue that will end with joy for ogun worker.
According to him “they have given us the mandate to lead them and they must have it in mind that we cannot lead them astray”.
“I want to charge the Ogun state workers to be resolute, prayerful and put their trust in the union. We are going to give them purposeful, dividend and oriented leadership. We are going to engage any government to the demand of workers,” he said.
“We are expecting His Exellency to give us something as a take home that will put smile on the faces of workers of our dear state.
“We have baglog of demands before him and he knows at the same time the 40% increase is there. What we want from him now, by tomorrow morning we want him to pronounce something good,” he added.
