The South West Zonal Women Leader has joined the entire IJEBU SONS and DAUGHTERS Home and Abroad, the NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES, FRIENDS, FAMILY and ASSOCIATES of the former Vice Chairman Provisional Ruling Council of late Gen. Sanni Abacha and One time Chief of Staff late Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya to mourn the passing of the Elder-statesman.
Chief (Mrs) Yetunde Shakira Adesanya, described the departed Army General as a Seasoned Military Administrator, Fine Officer Gentleman whose contributions to the development of the security architecture of Nigeria will forever remain indelible.
She therefore humbly request all the BELOVED of the departed leader, A Worthy Pride and Son of Odogbolu in the East Senatorial District of Ogun State to take solace in the fact that the late Icon played his role as assigned to him by providence diligently, conscientiously, patriotically as well as Meritoriously.
Adesanya further mentioned that his departure is indeed a great loss, painful to the entire Sons and Daughters of Akile Ijebu particularly Odogbolu town.
The late General died just few days to his 79th birthday (April 3rd 2023) to be precise.
She recollects that, Lt. Gen. Oladipupo Diya was the former Military Administrator in Ogun State from January 1984 to August 1985 under the then Buhari/Idiagbon Military Regime then becoming the Chief of defence staff.
Adesanya said the role played by late Army Lt. Gen. Diya would remain in our memory.
