Former Ogun Lawmaker Joseph Adegbesan Became MHR-ELECT ...the victory is for us all; my gratitude

By Toyin Olotuyemi, Abeokuta

It was Michele Obama that said *“We learned about gratitude and humility - that so many people had a hand in our success."* It is on this note that I Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan the latest (MHR-ELECT in town) wishes to thank every members of our federal constituency who trooped out massively to ensure that their future and tomorrow is entrusted democratically into the hand of someone they can trust.

Against intimation, treat and high-handedness you all surprised us with your massive turnout to ensure that humane, ingenuity and coolheaded personality is brought into office as your chief servant and parliamentarian.

The victory is huge as expected, considering the massive votes of *35, 798* recorded by our party the All Progressive Congress APC against the *25,450* votes of Peoples Democratic Party PDP. This clearly shows a winning margin of *10, 348.* This is the Lord's doing and it marvelous in our sights.

Dear constituents, let me acknowledge the benevolence of Almighty God who has the power over all things on earth and heaven, our dynamic Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for his genuine commitment to the development of our Federal Constituency and it's people, the Secretary to the State Government Mr Tokunbo Talabi who stood by us during and after the process. I promise not to be allowed to be carried away with euphoria of the office.

I may not be the best but I strongly rely on God Almighty and your support more than ever before, I appreciate our leaders and mentors and of course all of you for your constructive criticism, advice and promptings on the way forward. I owe this victory to God Almighty and to all of you in Ogun Waterside, Ijebu East and Ijebu North.

Once again thanks for the solidarity and I promise not to disapoint you all.

May I appeal to my brother and immediate former member representing our constituency to join hands together with me to upgrade and further develop our federal constituency, election is over and it's time for us all to roll up our sleeves.
