The various local councils in Ogun West is booming at the moment, with youths and women undergoing training in different skills. The training which we heard will span about two months, our correspondent learnt will be concluded in December.
Facilitated by the Chairman Senate Committee on Finance, and APC Senatorial candidate for Ogun West, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA YAYI FCTI FFPI CON;
“The training is aimed at equipping not less than 5000 young men and women in different vocational skills, varying from make up, barbing, tailoring, bag making, soap making, catering, tie and dye, phone repairs, amongst others”
In a chat with a participant, who preferred to be unnamed, he expressed gratitude to the Senator, and promised to make good use of the training program.
It would be recalled that last month at an interactive session with leaders of his party, Senator Adeola had announced that while he’s yet to get the mandate of his people for representation in the Senate, he is set to show that he has them at heart, hence he will be embarking on a skill acquisition program to train not less than 5000 of the Ogun West constituents.
Reports have it that the training is simultaneously going on in the 5 local government areas of the senatorial district.
