It was a colourful celebration in the city of Abeokuta as Oloje of Egba land celebrates first Kayero Festival and endorses Ogun State Governors Prince Dapo Abiodun for second term and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Celebration was held at June 12 Cultural Center Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to Chief Sunday Aremu Olubodun (Lawayi) Olora of Egbaland (Chairman Committee of One Egbaland) thanked Ogun State Government for allowed them to have a combine and unifying mascurade celebrations in Egbaland.
And saying Oloje has been a redefine bodies that we know for goods and not for thuggery or causing trouble within the metropolitan.
While adding that come 2023 general election Abiodun and All Progressive Congress (APC) will be victorious at the poll. And thanking all Olojes of Egbaland for supporting him to achieved this wonderful celebration.
Also, His Royal Majesty Oba Moruf Alani Adebayo, Onitafin of Orile-Tafin Egba enjoined we the Yorubas or western part of Nigeria not to allowed our culture and traditions to become things of the past.
He said mascurade means alot in Yoruba land we must know that is using to announce something and also using for spiritual cleansing in the land.
And today you can see that every Oloje in Egbaland can now come together to Celebrates their Egungun festivals.
In her address the Honourable Commissioner For Culture and Tourism in Ogun State Hon. Adijat Adeleye expressed her happiness for associate with the Olojes of Egbaland in the Celebration of first edition of Kayero Festival.
She said, It's a pity that we have lost all our social cultural heritage in Ogun State and Nigeria. But this present Government as promised us that all our father heritage will be revived.
Assuring them that Governor Dapo Abiodun lead administration is fully ready to Support them any time.
While enjoined them all to collect their Permanent Voters Card PVC and be ready to support and votes all APC candidates from President to House of Assembly in the forthcoming general election. ###
