Ogun Workers Charged On Career Progression

By Passover Adeshina, Abeokuta

Civil Servants in the state have been called upon to invest in themselves and resources that would make them perform, for career progression in the civil service and efficient service delivery.

Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro stated this while inspecting candidates in the professional, sub- professional and junior cadres, writing the June 2022 edition of the yearly Combined Public Service Examination, at Babalakin Hall, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta.

Dr Aigoro, in company of the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Lydia Fajounbo, said " The government will not relent in doing its part to improve the Public service system but on your part, you should as well invest in yourselves. This examination is set to test your ability to apply public service rules in your various Ministries, Department and Parastatals"

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct, general arrangement of the examination and candidates’ comportment, commending the Bureau for ensuring a hitch-free and result-oriented examination.

Speaking on behalf of other candidates, Mr. Segun Oniyide and Mrs Toyin Ogundare, from Ministry of Culture and Tourism and State Universal Basic Education Board respectively, appreciated the State Government and the Bureau, saying, the examination would help to refresh their memories on some of the rules guiding the State public service.
