Support LG Autonomy: Or We Failed To Support Your Presidential Ambition, NULGE Tells Tinubu Others

The National President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Comrade Akeem Olatunji Ambali has openly called on the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress Party, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to come out publicly to support Local Government Autonomy and rise up to the insecurity challenges in the Country, failure in which NULGE members will not support his ambition in becoming the next President of Nigeria.

The National President who spoke during the Lagos state Eleventh Quadrennial Delegates’ Conference and inauguration of newly elected executives to run the affairs of the Union, held at the Nigeria Union of Teacher’s Pavilion, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.

Comrade Olatunji Ambali, urged Nigerians especially Local Government workers to vote for their conscience and leaders who support Local Government Autonomy.

He encouraged the people to vote for a leader with visions, ideas, who is responsible, responsive to challenges and create good jobs for the youths “We need capable, trusted person, its not about age or religion” Ambali fumes.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu must come out publicly and throw his weight behind autonomous Local Government”. If you fix Local Government, you have fix Nigeria, keeping silent on issues of autonomous Local Government will get him nowhere” Ambali added.

While applauding the State Houses of Assembly for the passage of the Local Government Autonomy Bill, the National President stated that, Lagos State Lawmakers has disappointed Nigerians especially people at the grassroots by denying the rights of the people as the third tier government.

“Your PVC is your power; Save your future, do not sell your vote because of future generation”. Any candidate who did not show support of the Local Government administration should be voted out, it amounts to building something on nothing” president said.

He however charged the newly elected executives to work as a team to achieve a common goal.
