One Year In Office: Majekodunmi sues for maximum cooperation of members of Staffs

 The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Hon.Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi (HOAM) JP has sued for maximum cooperation from the members of staff of the Local Government area.

 Hon. Majekodunmi stated this at the commemoration of the one year in office of the present administration during his meeting with all the staffers at Segun Taiwo's multipurpose Hall, within the council secretariat, Ake. 

Hon.Majekodunmi, while addressing the members of staff appreciated their unalloyed support and cooperation since the commencement of his administration which was sworn-in by the Executive Governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR on the 26th July, 2021. 

 The Council Helmsman reiterated his commitment to serve and fulfilling the promises made during his electioneering campaign and ensure his administration ameliorate the hardship and suffering of the masses at the grass root, he lamented the issue of paucity of funds which has been hindering his government to give fully dividends of democracy back to the people.

 Majekodunmi therefore charged all the Revenue Collectors to intensify more efforts in the area of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). 

 In collaboration of the Chairman statement, the Vice Chairman, Surv.Iretiolu Sotayo, Supervisor for Medical and Health, Hon.Abdulgafar Abdulkareem and the Chairman Committee on Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Hon.Jamiu Ogundairo Councilor Representing Ward 4 thanked and appealed to all the staffers of the Local Government to be up and doing and give the administration the maximum support to restore the glory of the council as the premier Local Government.

 In his response, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr.Wole Adeosun appreciated the number one citizen of Abeokuta South Local Government and his cabinet for dimming it fit to intimate all the staffers on the stewardship of his one year in office and enjoined members of staff to think outside the box as much is still needed to be done. 

He therefore assured the chairman that there will be improvement on IGR generation, a synergy between the Political functionaries and Career Officers for better outputs. While urging Legislators to come up with bye-law that will support and improve revenue generation in the council area. 

 The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee, Abeokuta South Chapter, (NULGE) Comr.Odunayo Ogunwemimo appreciated the Executive and the Legislative arms of Government and charged the staffers to work in tandem with Majekodunmi's led administration as they can only break more grounds and move the council to a greater height.
