Moghalu, who was Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun State, during the ADC’s presidential primary.

At least 10 presidential aspirants are jostling for 2,100 delegates in the ongoing ADC’s primary in Abeokuta.

Other aspirants include Dr. Mani Ibrahim, Joyce Ogochukwu Nsaka, Dr. Chike Okogwu, Dr Chukwuka Monye, Lady Angela Johnson, Princess Chichi Ojei, Dr. Muhammed Lamido, Bishop Ify-George Oforkansi, Dr. Favour Ayodele, Evang. Ebiti Ndok Jegede and others.

In his remarks, Moghalu vowed to send the duo of Atiku and Tinubu on political retirement.

He told the ADC delegates that “I am here to offer myself to you not because I am better than anybody here but because I care about the future of our country. I offer myself because God has given me the main recognition to stand side by side with Atiku, Tinubu and to send them into retirement.

“I offer myself very humbly because God has given me the relevant experience to be the transformative 21st century president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I offer myself to you humbly for the reason Nigeria does not have good leadership is because we the citizens do not know the attribute we should select when we are voting for president.

“We do not know fully the job of the president. That job is to build Nigeria into one nation; to secure our women and our children; that people can go to the game and come home safely; that we should no more the scared because of Boko Haram and bandits; that we should travel from Abuja to Kaduna by road or by rail without our heart in our mouth; that is the job of the president.

“I am here because the job of the president is to create prosperity and to make poverty history in Nigeria.

“I am here and I offer myself to you because the job of the president is to project a power and influence of Nigeria a great power in the world – foreign affairs.

“These are the four functions of the president.

“And I offer myself to you with all humility as God has given me the privilege and a career in four areas of which I have been a direct leader in the areas with direct relevant experience.”

He promised to make Nigerians proud if elected the next president.
