AFCON 2023 QUALIFIER: Super Eagles Beat Sao Tome Principe 10 unreply goals

It was torrential goals as Super Eagles were merciless in their encounter against Sao Tome and Principe in Marrakesh, Morroco with 10 goals spanking of the unlucky youngsters.

The Super Eagles recorded the second win of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers , having beaten Leone stars of Sierra Leone in their 1st match by 2 goals to 1.

The Jose Peseiro tutored Eagles left no one in doubt of hunger for convincing victory as they were all over the pitch, forcing Sao Tome on a defensive approach.

The Napoli youngster, Victor Osimhen recorded the 1st goal in the 9th minute, the stand in captain and enterprising Moses Simon registered the second goal courtesy a pass from Victor Osimhen, while Terem Moffi scored the 3rd goal to end proceedings in the first half to 3 goals to nill in favour of the Super Eagles.

The second half resumed with Super Eagles searching for more goals and on the dot of 48th minute, Victor Osimhen increased the tally to four goals while Eghenekaro Etebo, Terem Moffi, Ademola Lukmon, all registered their names in the scorers sheet before Emmanuel Dennis completed the routing with the 10th goal via a penalty kick for the Super Eagles.

Sao Tome and Principe had no shot on target as Francis Uzoho was partially on holiday throughout the duration of the encounter.

Nigeria will face Guinea Bissau in the match day three of the qualifiers.

The AFCON 2023 is billed to hold in Cote d’ivoire between 23rd of June and 23rd of July, 2023.
