The Ogun State government has announced the completion of work on the construction of drainage beneath the Lafenwa- Railway Crossing which necessitated the diversion of traffic from Lafenwa end to Olomore end for motorists.
The government has therefore opened the road for use to motorists as promised.
The Ogun State Government appreciates residents for their patients and supports, while the diversion lasted and apologised for the inconvenience, assuring that the government will not relent in fullfilling it's electioneering promises to the people.
The Ogun State Government had on Saturday announced closure and diversion of traffic along Lafenwa railway crossing, Lafenwa-rounder road, Abeokuta to allow the contractor handling the project to construct drainage beneath the rail tracks and make it seamless for the removal and replacement of the tracks by the officials of Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC).
The Ogun State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ade Akinsanya had revealed that the diversion of traffic was imperative to fix the road, explaining that the closure was important to ensure safety of motorists and citizens of the State,
Akinsanya reiterated the State government’s commitment to the development of infrastructure within the State.
