It was a colourful celebrations in Imashai town when thousands of indegenes and members of All Progressive Congress, APC joined Engr.Temitope Steven Kuyebi to declare his intention to contest for the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja representing Yewa North/Imeko Afon Federal constituency.
Engr. Kuyebi who was a leading aspirant for Yewa North-Imeko-Afon Federal constituency made the declaration yesterday at Imashai Town Hall in Imashai Ward.
He explained that, it's very important for him to declare at home before you begin to hear it outside that Temitope steven Kuyebi has joined the race adding "My fathers, mothes, sisters, brothers, uncles, nephews, cousins, I want to contest for the Federal House of Representatives representing Yewa North-ImekoAfon Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections".
He noted that he joined politics since 2004 and had since then remained in the progressive party but in 2007 after the sudden death of late Engr. Bajomo, he deemed it fit to contest for the governorship in Ogun State so as to save Ogun West and rewrite its glory.
Kuyebi said I am one of the right hands of Late Engr Bajomo because we knew each other and were having same motive, opinion and passion to liberate Ogun West Senatorial District.
He said, he contested for governorship in 2010 and for Senate in 2015 and we all know how it went at Empire Ground in Ilaro. He said that in 2019 he contested for the House of Representatives before he was asked to withdraw for Oladele to run for second term and we all know what happened, he lost it to ADC candidate Hon. Olaifa Jimoh Aremu (OJA).
While he appealed y to his immediate family in Imashai Ward to shun any individual differences for the sake of this project, he promised to be inclusive, fair and accountable to the people.
Mr Salami TAIWO, Chairman Imashai Ward for All Progressive Congress APC also speaking at the event, acknowledged that they received a letter from their son, leader and elder to run for the seat of federal house of representatives in the forthcoming general election.
And as party we received it with joy and it glading our hearts that we see our own son that we be run for federal house of representatives and we want us to see it as our own Project.
Hon. Wole Olorode from Imeko-Afon Local Government send a greetings from Imeko-Afon All Progressive Congress APC, he said they have been working and holding weekly meeting to support TKL for the past 5 months. And I want to tell you out of all aspirants for Yewa North - Imeko-Afon federal constituency TKL is the most popular and he has the highest crowd.
Also Prince Fisayo Obadina Chairperson and woman leader Yewa North Local Government SWAGA, SWSC Urge all women in Imashai, Yewa North Local Government to bogle up and support TKL ambition for better governances and woman empowerment.
Hon. Akintunde Joseph charged everyone to be in love and unity if truly we want the glory in our town. And Comrade Idowu Kazeem Youth Leader APC Imashai Ward pledges 100% and total support for Temitope Kuyebi Political ambition
