The youth leadership of Ogun State has congratulated the former President of Nigeria and Elder Statesman, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on the commemoration of his 85th birthday anniversary.
In a release made available to pressmen at Ogun Youth House on Saturday, March 5, 2022, the State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe lauded Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as a global legend, a renowned Farmer, Politician, Teacher, Mentor, and Optimist whose love for his fatherland remains inspirational.
Ayelaagbe who witnessed the ceremonial match held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library OOPL, Abeokuta, in honor of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, described Baba as a Leader who has chosen to stay young forever.
The Youth House release partly reads,
“You remain our Legend, and guiding light for the African continent.
The entire Youths of Ogun State, your constituency, celebrate your resourcefulness and your relentless pursuit for the development and capacity-building of young Nigerians.
“Baba, your life story remains inspirational to every young man out there. And you are a worthy definition of hardwork, resilience, and greatness,”
Conclusively, the youth leadership expressed confidence in the democratic qualities of the former President and the need for his continued contribution to ensuring greater representation of the youths in positions of authority across the country.
