Owu Royal Council Of Obas want Obasanjo to find credible candidate from Otileta ruling family

Owu Traditional Council of Obas Nationwide has charged the former President Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo 'Balogun of Owu Kingdom' to pick most credible candidate from Otileta ruling family of Oke-Eguya Owu, Abeokuta.

This Charge was made by His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Handed Adekunle Oyelude Makama (Tegbosun III), Olowu of Owu Kuta, Osun State.

He said, it's very important for our National leader, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo Balogun of Owu Kingdom to assist them to pick most credible Prince from Otileta ruling.

Added that they are not going to installed Olowu of Owu that can not give us adequate representation required. 

Also, Oba Olasumkanmi Tijani Alawowo of Awowo Owu land, said we should be careful because some of Egba Ake Obas and chiefs have been sponsoring the candidates and ready to intimidate the Kingmaker.

It was also advised that the people of Owu through out the entire kingdom to be at peace with each other as Owu is the centre of royalty in Yoruba land.

The king's advise to themselves is to not put all pressure on the former president Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo 'Balogun of Owu Kingdom' that the Kings should also help out each other in the best way that can and make and keep the reputation of Owu nation.

According his Royal Majesty Oba Barrister Okufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye stated in the meeting that the body of the Obas of Owu should have a name for the body for the purpose of the Cooperate Affair Commission registration hence Royal Council Of Owu Obas was suggested and accepted by all other Obas in the meeting.

In addition Oba Abdul-Gafar Olasumkanmi Tijani Alawowo of Awowo Owu land appreciate all Owu sons and daughters for rising to the challenges facing Owu nation.

He said, the meet is first of it kind in Awowo to the purpose of bringing unity among the kings of Owu nation. Also advised theOwu regency and kingmakers to look for a credible candidate that we emerge as next Olowu of Owu, "we do not want a coward as a King and I can not work with a coward" he said.

In attendance are HRM Oba Kamorudeen Ajiboye Sanni Olowu of Owu "Obaloyan" Kwara State, Labalabi of Abalabi, Oba Gafar Olasumkanmi Tijani,Oba Fakayode Adesina Faluade Ibogun, Oba Olamilekan Sunde Olasode Apomu, Oba Olufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye Towulade of Akinale, Oba Adebari Odekunle Olu of Lapeleke, Oba Abdul-wasiu Ogunrinola Olu of Oke-oko Ifo, Oba Onipapaof Papalanto, Oba Oluwasesan Ajani Ogunmuyiwa Elejio of Ejio land and others.

Also from Owu in Osun and Kwara State Prince Kehinde Akinfala Orile-Owu, Cheif Taofeek Adegunji Omolefun Orile Owu.
