EKLG BOSS : HON ADESINA PRESENTS 2022 DRAFT BUDGET TO THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

The Executive Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa a. K. a. ESKAY LODU, has presented 2022 draft budget to the legislative council. 

  Presenting the draft budget, christened, " budget of hope "to the 6th legislative council members at the hallowed chamber of the legislative council of the Local Government, Hon Adesina stressed that the main goal and major priority of the year 2022 budget is to ensure a significant improvement in the quality of the people of Ewekoro Local Government and the collective hope and prosperity.
 

  The budget size of #2.487.242.000 is expected to be financed from the statutory allocation from Federation Account, Independent Revenue (I. G. R.), Aids and Grants from Government, International and corporate agencies. 

   Assuring the legislators, the council's helmsman emphasised by saying, "Year 2022 promises to be a pragmatic and challenging year, i hereby seize this opportunity to seek for total understanding between the executive and legislative council, as all hands must be on deck in the interest of our people and our destiny. "

  Hon Adesina , also urged the honourable legislators to work on the review of bye laws relating to taxes and levies which are out dated. 

   Speaking further, he equally sought for the continous cooperation, support and understanding of the people in ensuring prompt payment of revenue accruing to the Local Government authority so that government would be able to deliver more dividend of democracy and provide basic infrastructural amenities as well as other goodies to the people in all the 10 wards of the council area. 

   In his acceptance speech, the leader of the House, Hon Abiola Muheeb Kehinde promised to swing into action by starting the processing of the budget estimates so that the Local Government could start impacting the welfare of the people of Ewekoro Local Government. 

  Hon Abiola further reiterated the need to work assiduously on revenue generation, charging revenue generating staff and consultants to be more alive to their responsibilities, more innovative and focused on how to meet their revenue targets in order to make 2022 budget a reality. 

   He assured the chairman of the readiness of the members of the 6th legislative council to partner with his administration to achieve all goals and targets of taking the Local Government to the greater level.
