3 Die, 3 Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Auto Crash

 Three persons have died in an auto crash that occurred around Isaara bridge, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor of Ogun State.

Three other persons also sustained varying degrees of injuries from the accident.

The crash involved a Volkswagen Sharan with the registration number: GGE175FM and a Mack truck with no registration number.

The Superintendent Route Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

Okpe, said that the cause of the auto crash was as a result of over speeding on the part of the Volkswagen driver, who lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the parked truck obstructing the road.

She said that the accident involved six occupants, where three persons including two males and one female sustained injuries while the three other persons, two males and one female, died on the spot.

The Superintendent Route Commander, added that the three injured victims have been taken to General hospital Isaara. The female corpse was deposited at FOS, Ipara, while other corpses were taken away by their family members.
