Towards generating more revenue and improving service delivery, staffers of the Ogun State Bureau of Lands have been urged to come up with a lofty initiative that will aid the implementation of government policies and programmes.

The Special Adviser/Director-General, in the Bureau, Mr. Aina Salami stated this in Abeokuta during a meeting with the staff, noting that activities of the agency should no longer be business as usual in the new year.

Mr. Salami said staff welfare, provision of working tools, and a conducive working environment would be given utmost priority to enhance work quality and maximum performance, advising them to exhibit a high level of dedication and teamwork within the limited time frame.

‘’Everyone should work together in unity and dedication, as two heads are better than one, the best of everyone will be projected where there is a team spirit and commitment. The management on its part will ensure conducive working environment and provision of working tools for staff to enhance their performances", Salami said.

Speaking, the Surveyor-General, Dr. Ken-Salam Onososen urged the members of staff to be diligent, adding that necessary actions would be taken against anyone found wanting in the discharge of his or her duties.

Contributing, the Director, Finance and Account, Mr. Femi Solanke charged them to continue to contribute their quota to the development of the State and strive to generate more funds into government coffers, in order to meet its targeted Internally Generated Revenue in the year 2022, saying the Bureau would remain one of the agencies of government relied upon to boost its revenue through the landed property.

Responding on behalf of the staff, Mr. Kayode Oguntade commended the Director-General and the management for their commitment to staff welfare, pledging their dedication to duties, to take the Bureau to a higher pedestal.
