Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 09 in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State have advised traducers and mischief makers to leave the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, out of the matters pertaining to the suspension of some INLG party leaders.
INLG APC Ward 09 had on Tuesday suspended Mrs Adetola Kadiri, an APC chieftain in Ogun State and mother of the impeached Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Oludare Kadiri, over alleged anti - party activities.
Mrs Adetola Kadiri popularly called Iya Maba was suspended by the leadership of Ward 09 in Ifelodun constituency, INLG, and the suspension was affirmed by the Ward Congress.
Also suspended alongside Iya Maba were Hon. Sola Jaiyeola, Hon. Rasaq Adesina (Councillor) and Mr. S.O. Bude for their various anti - party activities.
Their suspension followed the recommendation of the Disciplinary and Fact Finding Committee set up by the Ward to investigate petition brought against them.
The Ward Executives said they anchored their decision based on article 21(B)(1) of the party constitution and set up the Disciplinary and Fact Finding Committee on December 17th 2021.

But following intervention by many party leaders from the area, including Gbenga Nuberu, Assistant State Secretary of APC, the suspension was momentarily lifted while another Disciplinary and Fact Finding Committee was constituted to investigate the allegations of anti -party activities levelled against Mrs Adetola Kadiri and others.
The leaders who intervened after a meeting to deliberate on the matter, said the decision was meant to restore peace and save the party from any factionalization in Ward 09.
However, on Saturday, the ward 09 Elders Council INLG, said they were both shocked and embarrassed that traducers and mischief makers were labouring to link the SSG, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, with the suspension of Mrs Adetola Kadiri and three others.
The Elders also described as erroneous, media report suggesting that the SSG was connected to the decision that led to the suspension of the four members of Ward 09, dismissing it as a "surreptitious campaign of calumny."
In an e - document signed by Ademola Owoeye, the Public Relations Officer,
PRO, ward 09 Elders Council INLG and sighted by The Daily Crucible on Saturday night, they held that the suspension followed the report of Investigation and Disciplinary Committee set up by the ward and backed by almost 200 ward members who unanimously voted in support of the suspension.
They added that they deemed it highly embarrassing for any person or group with unduly suggest that the almost 200 ward members who unanimously voted in support of the recommendation of the Investigation and Disciplinary Committee set up by the ward have no conscience of their own, stressing that SSG had nothing to do with the Ward's decision on Iya Maba and others.
The document reads :"It is therefore pertinent to immediately correct such erroneous and unguarded outburst of the proponent of such baseless submission, not in defense of Mr. Tokunbo Talabi but to put the record straight.
"Mr. Tokunbo Talabi was not in government in 2014 when Alhaja Adetola Kadiri, Iya Maba & Mr. Bude S.O ( the ward Chairman then ) were almost Suspended from the ward owing to various misconduct. It took the intervention of Barr. Bayo Adesegun and the then Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Elias before the matter was swept under the carpet. The allegations bothered on poor management of the ward as well as high-handedness. A leopard will not change her color.
"How can any right thinking individual purported he or she is being witch-hunt for an offence deliberately committed and bluntly refused remorse? APC constitution recognizes protest and provides for it, but frowns against anti party activities of which party balkanization is one.
"A cotery of rules and law breakers should be ready to defend their actions and inactions instead of heaping the consequences of their actions on the innocent gentle man.
"The leadership of the ward should be commended for being civil under the height of provocations. How could the ward councillor not attend to the welfare of an entire ward during Xmas? How could a leader insists on producing the ward chairman months after swearing in the legitimate one even after national leadership has approved the wards and Local Government Congresses.
"Our ward shall sustain democratic virtues with civility and dignity. Let the accused, convicted but discharged in the interest of peace and with respect for the intervention of the leadership of the party, be charitable in their utterance, turn new leaf and get reintegrated. If supposed leaders were suspended and there was no single dissenting voice or group in their constituency, it speaks volumes on their leadership acceptability."
