A Non Governmental Organization, "Save Our Schools Foundation" (SOSF) based in Washington DC, United States,has asked the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba to ensure deligient Investigation and prosecution of those found culpable in the gruesome murdered of Timothy Adegoke Oludare, MBA student at the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife in Osun State, South West, Nigeria.
Timothy was allegedly murdered in his room at Hilton Hotel and Resorts in Ile-Ife on the 5th of November, 2021, eve of post graduate programme examination in Master of Business Administration MBA, which led to the subsequent arrest of the owner of the hotel and founder of the Oduduwa University, Dr.Rahmon Adedoyin, an High Chief in the ancient town by the police.
Kayode Ajulo and Co, a legal representative of the deceased family had last 26th of November, 2021 demanded from the Osun State Police Command to declare son of the hotelier, Raheem Adedoyin, the manager of the hotel now on the run, wanted for allegedly dumping the corpse of Timothy in a bush.
But the NGO disturbed about the trend of event in a letter written by its Chairperson, Latifat Sanusi, to the IGP dated 13th of December, 2021, obtained by Edu-Biznews on Sunday, insisted on thorough investigation of the case and proper prosecution of Raheem and those behind the burial without legal authorization.
"The unfortunate death of Mr.Timothy Adegoke at a hotel in Ile-Ife on the eve of his MBA Examination must be thoroughly investigated, including the decision made behind his burial without legal authorization", the letter stated
The foundation in the letter, strongly believed that ensuring justice in the alleged murdered of Adegoke, a Chartered Accountant and Director of Finance of an Abuja based Chinese Company, would serve as deterrent to others found culpable in such unholy act
"Realizing the deligient prosecution and bringing judgement against the perpetrators of this heinous crime will serve as deterrent to others, therefore every suspect connected to the perpetration of this wicked act must be made to face the consequences of their actions, no matter how highy placed", SOSF further demanded in the letter
