ROMO State Chairman Became First Borokinni Of Egbaland

The Egba Traditional Council of Oba led by His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland has conferred the
 State Chairman of Ridders And Owners Of Motorcycle Organization (ROMO) Chief Razaq Sotayo popularly called Solebo as the first Borokinni of Egbaland.

The conferment of Egba chieftaincy title in commemoration of the sixteen coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Okunkenu IV, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland on Saturday, 20th November,2021, at Ake palace hall, Abeokuta.

The council members are His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Adegboyega Dosunmu Olowu Kangunnere Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Saburee Babajide Bakare (Jamolu 1) Agura of Gbagura, Oba (Dr) Adedapo Tejuosho (Karunwi III) Osile of Oke-Ona, Egba and the president Egba Traditional Council of Obas Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo (Okukenu IV), The Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland.

And  they are function according to Egba proclamation of 1st February, 1898. Osile of Oke Ona is the minister of justice, Agura of Gbagura Minister of Communication and works, Olowu of Owu is the Minister of Finance. The Sule  is the minister of public order, The Soruntan is the minister of trade and Agriculture, Josiah Olumide is the minister of sanitation and public health and Apena is the secretary to the Government.

 In his response with the press men Chief Razaq Olusola Sotayo who was the first Borokinni of Awori land and now first Borokinni of Egbaland express gratitude to most high God for Egba traditional council to notice his little kind gesture and recommend him this elevation.

"Borokinni is a very important titles in Yoruba land, saying according to Yoruba adage 'Borokinni osan ju oloro loo' Borokinni is more than the richest". 

He said, before any chieftaincy title can be conferred on anyone in the land, it's means that they have seen your good deed.

Saying that as first Borokinni of Egbaland it's a call to service and promised to used all what God has deposited in his care to developed Egbaland and his Environs.

MEET THE BOROKINNI OF EGBALAND

Chief Razaq Olusola Sotayo was born in the mid Sixties. He attended Nawar-Ud-Deen school, Oju Ota.. thereafter he was at Oju Ibiye high school for his secondary school education. In his quest for higher education, he attended the institute of technology, Igbesa where he obtained the higher national diploma in business administration and later proceeded to the Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile Ife, Osun State.

Political exposure
The Borokinni of Egbaland started his political career as a member of People Democratic Party PDP and served as a councilors in Iju ward, which he facilitated many projects to his ward including; construction of a block of three classroom at the N.U.D primary school, Iju, construction of a modern maternity center at Itere It's, drilling of a borehole with the overhead tanksat Obere village and provision of a 500 KVA transformer for Iju Community.

Chief Razaq Sotayo was a professional members of Institute of corporate administration of Nigeria. Institute of security management and operations, Nigeria. Institute of industrial relations, labour research and development.

Solebo love travelling and meeting people, watching football and playing scrabble and swimming. He was a responsible family man to the core, happily married with well nurture children.
