Ogun State has ranked 4th in revenue generation in the first and second quarter of the year 2021. Other states that generated more revenue within the period under review include Lagos, FCT and Rivers.
According to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, Ogun State generated the sum of ₦54.8b in the first half of 2021, and has between January and September generated a record-high total of ₦74b.
Being the first time in the history of the State, this record indicates a positive future for the dynamic dimensions that the current Dapo Abiodun-led Administration of the State Government has introduced to the State economy by disposing of expenditure-focused approaches.
This upward progression brings the high possibility of more increase in revenue generation for the rest of the year 2021 and beyond under the current Administration.
