Femi Aina condones with Ogun NUJ over Amosu's death

Publisher of The Village News, Barr. Femi Aina, has commiserated with the Ogun State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) over the demise of the its Chairman, Comrade Soji Amosun.

Aina, who attended the same primary school with Amosu, expressed shock over the demise of his old friend, describing his death as sad.

The UK-based lawyer, in a statement on Monday, recalled the enormous roles played by the late journalist while working with him as a correspondent at the Village News, years ago.

The publisher, who said he was yet to come to terms with the sudden death of Amosu, said the Oke-Ore indigene would sorely be missed.

“I want to sympathise with the NUJ in Ogun State over the demise of my secondary school mate, Comrade Soji Samson Amosu. I received the death of Amosu with a rude shock and I am highly devastated.

“On behalf of the entire Village News crew, I sympathise with the Amosu family, the media practitioners in Ogun and across the nation.

“May God give all of us the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Aina said.
